UK Recruiters has run a series of articles looking at CV validation services and RésumeCheck were one of the companies asked to participate

Analysis of service:
As with all the CV validation companies we are reviewing we asked RésumeCheck to verify a short CV for us.

The CV had two main lies on it. As with all the companies we reviewed, RésumeCheck requires the candidate to sign authorisation before conducting a verification.

The report from RésumeCheck was made up of 4 pages of "background reference check report", 4 pages correspondence with schools and employers and a 1 page document giving information on the address
details for our subject.

The report was split into sections laid out as per the CV we sent to them with a summary on the first page showing where there was an area for "concern/discrepancy".

The candidate we sent to RésumeCheck had one job which could not be verified as they had worked for a subsidiary of the company on their CV

This meant RésumeCheck couldn't say if the dates and job title for that job were correct (which they weren't as this was one of the "lies" we'd
included), if this had been a real reference checking scenario we'd
need to go back to candidate and get better data on their career
history.

RésumeCheck did find the second lie which related to academic achievement plus another discrepancy that we hadn't purposely
added to the CV.

The report gave additional detail of who was the contact at the educational establishments and companies contacted.

Summary:
I found the report fairly easy to read and having the overview on the
first page made it very easy to identify discrepancies without having
to get into detail.
